Please join Tarheel Sports Car Club for a fun and competitive day of Grand Prix Karting on February 16th, 2025 at RushHour Karting in Morrisville! This is an ALL-INDOOR, HIGH-SPEED facility that features state-of-the-art high-speed electric karts that top out at 40-45 mph. You'll be navigating North Carolina's first 2-level course across 3 sessions (practice, qualifying, race) alongside your peers to determine THSCC's debut Grand Prix Karting podium finishers to kick off our 2025 motorsport season across all programs!

MUST BE 15 YEARS OLD+

(No license or helmet necessary, $2 charge for headsock which can be paid for onsite or bring your own helmet/headsock)

Before, after, or in-between races, make your way to RHK's full-service restaurant, bar and sports tavern for the ultimate pit stop. RHK also boasts Virtual Reality rooms, Racing Simulators, Axe Throwing, Golf Simulators, and an Arcade to keep you busy while you wait on your next run.

Track layout:

 

Doors open at 12:30 PM, Sunday, Feb 16th and the immediate front desk will provide wristbands during your check-in.

After check-in and confirmation of the number of participants, we'll be split into run groups. Each run group will have:

  • 5-Minute Practice
  • 6-minute Qualifier
  • 10-Minute Race
  • There will also be a 10-minute finale for the top 10 across the race heats

Event requirements

All drivers must sign a release form before racing at RushHour Karting. Adult drivers must be at least 15 years of age.

A parent or guardian must sign the release form for racers less than 18 years of age. Drivers MUST wear closed toe shoes; no sandals or flip flops!

THSCC and RushHour Karting believe in a zero-tolerance policy regarding alcohol and controlled substances. Anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or any other controlled substance will not be permitted to drive.

Indoor karting is not a contact sport. THSCC and RushHour Karting do not tolerate any bumping or blocking. The inability to pass another kart is no excuse for contact. Anyone driving aggressively without regard for our rules or the safety of others will receive a warning for the first incident. A second violation will result in the removal of the driver from the facility and review of membership by THSCC staff.
